Loving Yourself is the Greatest REVOLUTION

"Growing up, I struggled with loving myself. At age 13, I began to notice that I had a lot of insecurities, whether it be in my appearance or who I was as a person. These insecurities were consistently on my mind due to the constant negative affirmations that I had become accustomed to telling myself on a daily basis. You can see how this was a destructive path to be on. By my sophomore year in college, I made the conscious decision to put a stop to this path. I was fed up with hating myself--it was just too exhausting.
My progression to loving myself took time. I had to break old habits and self-sabotaging behaviors and replace them with new and positive actions. I had to actively decide everyday that I was worth this effort, that I was beautiful, that I was enough exactly how I was, and, most importantly, that there was not a single thing that could hold me back from being exceptional. The old, negative self perception began to transition to self love. I was finally keeping things simple and being easy to myself. I started to become more accepting of others around me, not only improving my relationship with myself but also with other people.
It has been through leveraging positive affirmations that I started to practice self compassion. Through rigorous honesty and willingness, I have been able to expel the negativity little by little and replace those gaps with love. I strive to accentuate the positive and live the life I imagined. Making this conscious choice was by far the best thing I could have ever done for myself, and I fully believe that every individual should be able to experience this for themselves. It is through this strong belief that every person has the capacity to be exceptional and to love themselves exactly as how they are that FLY was born."
