What sets F.L.Y. apart from similar programs is our focus on self-love. Our goal is to empower young people to believe in their own awesome power. Their ability to achieve and to be great comes from no one other than themselves. We do not strive to have individuals merely accept themselves. Acceptance is simply the first level--and a very difficult one for many. From there, we push our clients even further and ask them to not just accept, but to love. And to love wholeheartedly. When we are able to recognize our own magnificence, we, in turn, begin to see the magnificence in others. And that is where the magic happens. 

 

Individuals empowered with self-love are more optimistic, more likely to take healthy risks, more accepting of feedback--even negative feedback, and are more likely to be caring and kind to others. This is the difference that we are trying to make. Together, we can not only fight negative self-image but learn to love ourselves. And with that starts the self-love revolution.
