As part of our services, we host a series of workshops. These fun and interactive learning experiences teach individuals about everyday topics from positive body image to nutrition.

Week 1 - Introduction

 

Start off slow with a proper introduction and understanding of self-love and social justice. We will have a general overview of the program and offer a few journaling activities to get our participants thinking in terms of self-love. 

Week 3 - Perspective

 

We all perceive the world different. Some of us lean more towards optimism, while some towards pessimism. During week three, we will learn to embrace our inner pessimist and practice aligning our actual selves with our ideal selves. 

Week 5 - Nutrition

 

Eat good, feel good. This week, let's talk nutrition basics. We will learn about the dream team of nutrition as well as some recipes that are easy to put together. 

Week 7 - Positive Body Image

 

This week, we will practice loving and embracing our bodies for exactly what they are. We will embrace the bumps, curves, scars, marks, and everything else that makes us, us!

Week 9 - Mindfulness

 

Learning to live in the present is something that we have all struggled with at one point or another. This week, we will discuss the benefits of mindfulness and learn how we can incorporate it into our day to day routine. 

Week 11 - Positive Self-Talk

 

We have spent 11 weeks together learning to change our mindsets, embrace ourselves, and be present in the moment. This week, let's take it up a notch with positive self-talk. Being kind to ourselves is often the most difficult part of the journey, let's practice together!

Week 2 - Growth Mindset

 

Having a growth mindset recognizes that we are all equipped with the power to develop our abilities however we see fit. When we incorporate a growth mindset, we change "I can't" into "I could be"

Week 4 - Emotions

 

Self-love doesn't mean being positive all of the time. One aspect of self-love is embracing ALL of our emotions--even ones like anger in sadness. In week four, we will practice identifying, articulating, and embracing all the emotions that we feel. 

Week 6 - Exercise

 

Routine exercise is key in improving not only your physical, but mental health. We're not asking you to become a body builder or marathon runner, BUT we do want to emphasize the importance of exercise through fun (and easy!) activities you'll WANT to do everyday!

Week 8 - Combating Media Messaging

 

The media is constantly bombarding us with messages of how we should look. This week, we are going to learn to fight back against what we hear all day. Let's show the world what true body love looks like!

Week 10 - Positive Relationships

 

Self-love is not just about having a positive relationship with yourself, but also have healthy relationships with those around you. Having positive relationships around you is just another way of taking care of yourself.

Week 12 - Uniquely You!

 

People all too often forget that it is OK to be kind to yourself. It is not selfish or self-absorbed to be happy with who you are. The more you appreciate yourself, the more you tend to appreciate others. Let's end the program by embracing all that makes us unique!
